Fish processing in Mályinka
The demand for ready-to-cook fish products from customers and housewives has been growing. In this context, we thought that the high quality trout produced in Lillafüred should not only be available here in Lillafüred, but also in shops, where it should be easier to transport, have a longer shelf life and be more convenient for restaurants.
The Rural Development Targeting Tender helped us to realise our long-standing wish, under which we applied for the construction of a small-scale fish processing plant in Mályinka. The plans were prepared by MŰÉPÍTÉSZ Ltd.
Construction started in 2001 and the operating licence was granted in 2004. It is the smallest fish processor in Hungary, but perhaps it can be said that it is a building that fits into the landscape, a "pearl of the processors".
Our first packaged product was the well-known smoked trout from Lillafüred, followed by fresh and in 2009 by grill-cured trout.
Of course, we decided on the image of our packaged fish, where the most important thing was that the customer could see the product through the package, that the packaging would identify the product and that it would be Hungarian.
The packaging is done with a protective gas (carbon dioxide, nitrogen), which allows the product to be stored for a longer period of time and does not change the taste. A special film is used which cannot be penetrated by the molecules of the protective gas.
We deliver the processed trout in and around Miskolc, and in case of larger orders to other parts of the country with our refrigerated trucks.
After 28 years in production, we believe and believe that with the use of high quality raw and auxiliary materials, modern machinery, sufficient know-how and conscientiousness, well-organised work and technology, it is possible to produce a high quality product.
